Havee been a silent observer of this thread, and writing finally. Though being here for many years havent learnt swedish yet, unfortunately my job didnt demanded it and so havent had drive to do it. It is becoming priority though now. I can understand some of it and use google translate where I cant. So, please bear with my english for now. I have some doubts.

I have applied for skuldsanering on 1st April and waiting for it to be reopened. Total debts now around 2.4milSEK. Debts around 6+ years old now. Principal in this is around 1milSEK and rest is all interest. Debts due to a combination of bad investments, gambling, some consumption and loss of jobs. One thing could have led to another. My last year was the lowest probably, did some part time jobs, but my total yearly income was 41K. Partner income 360K per year. Applied and rejected last november with a reason that I was not working and they dont see things to become better even if given skuldsanering. Infact when my officer spoke to me she asked me how I am managing because numbers doesnt help and I told I was still taking help of family.

Gt a job in January with a monthly income of 17K which increased to 55K per month now. I know this change is going to happen and mentioned in the application as well. This time I went to budget counselor before applying and she checked my prev decision and told it should go through this time. I tried my best also to talk to many creditors to do a payment plan similar to what will be in skuldsanering. Most of them agreed but one rejected with a reason that they just bought the debt so they cannot reduce it. I was left with no choice as that debt is about 20% of the total.

What are my chances of making it this time? I have 2 kids between 10 and 15Y, and most of their childhood was in misery, so wanted to get back to normal asap. If not given, my interests are very high and I will never end up repaying this. Also, if I get skuldsanering, how long will it remain in UC. For example, is it 5 years I pay plus another 3 years making it 8 years? In this case it becomes hard for me to buy a house for instance

Cannot guess your chances this time, but it sounds kind of promising. I wish you good luck! A skuldsanering remains in the UC for 5 years after the decision, or if your paymentplan continue after that date, until your last payment is scheduled.

Out of curiosity what kind of job do you do making 55k monthly without speaking Swedish?

If approved it’s 5y then you can start on a clean slate so to speak.

Now getting a house directly after probably hard as you won’t have the down payment, I would say 8y until you are able to purchase a house is a likely scenario. But market is probably cheaper then, this “booming” economy won’t survive 8y more.

It may sound weird but I am in a sales job, but coverage not restricting to sweden, some times Europe, some times Nordic countries, so managing with english as target customers are large and international ones

8Y would be a longer wait, yes cant manage now surely the down payment part, but may be 3-4Y down the line is possible with partner slate becoming more cleaner. I was checking bluestep and they told its compulsory to have partner as co-applicant in case of married. Is it the same case with all banks, I mean can my partner get a loan or it is not possible because of my situation?

Ok, i understand.

Well if your partner has good financials it’s possible for her to buy however I assume the estate need to be set on her/him alone. In Swedish it’s called “enskild egendom” if you are married otherwise the estate will be owned by both and so is the liabilities. And therefore banks will decline because of your situation.

One way to go is just divorce and remarriage after :)

Yes married, so either go with above option or wait atleast 8 years min I guess, tough times ahead too...

I don’t really understand this. It is no problem bying a property on your own while maried as long as you are able to pay the morgage and pass the bank calculations. They do count on you to be the only provider though.

All depends on the price of tje estate. They won’t calculate he will contribute to payments at all. So if he is an applicant or not doesn’t matter.

After 5y your marks with from skuldasanering is gone as long you have the down payment you can borrow again towards a house.

A bank like bluestep might loan you money earlier, they handle loans to people with questionable credit rating but I see big bank do this as well nowadays as long you haven’t abused credit or been in the records of kronofogden.

Well atleast 5y. Your credit rating will be garbage as long you have skuldsanering. But as long as you have 15% of the down payment and solid job you will be guaranteed a loan at a good interest rate after the 5y

What??? Ska Jag ha utmätning på 300 tusen samtidigt? Nä, hur tänker dom?
Är de inte läskunniga? Tur jag kikade lite extra just nu ikväll. Suck.
